Fuel consumption is based on 15ltrs per 100 kms plus 50 litres, and price is based on an average of $1.50 per litre. (you should calculate your own vehicles consumption, however I would suggest you use the $1.50 per litre for fuel, this will average out as fuel at Innamincka could be as high as $2.00 per litre.

This is a very easy trip, I have spread it over 14 Days as usual, I have allowed two days for the drive to Noosa Heads, this should not be a problem, then I would allow two days on the beach between Noosa and Rainbow Beach, there will be no facilities (ie toilets or showers), you will be camped just off the beach.
We will then catch the ferry to Fraser Island, ferry fees are $75.00 return.
There is also an Island vehicle permit this costs $34.40 per vehicle.
Then there is the camping fees, $4.50 per person, or $18.00 per family.
I have allowed five days camping on the Island, this will allow us to drive up and down the beach and from one side of the island to the other.
I also allowed for two days return via the beach to Noosa, and a free day for what ever.
I think that totals 14 days,,,,,
Total expenses for fuel and fees, $890.00
ps, you will no doubt want to bring a fishing rod with you on this one, or better still a Surf or beach rod
The overnight stop on the first and last days i.e. between Bathurst and Noosa will depend on how we are travelling at the time, if we are tired, then we will pull over, it could be a caravan park, or a stop on the side of the road somewhere. but we will look at a caravan park if and when we decide which trip to do.
