Fuel consumption is based on 15ltrs per 100 kms plus 50 litres, and price is based on an average of $1.50 per litre. (you should calculate your own vehicles consumption, however I would suggest you use the $1.50 per litre for fuel, this will average out as fuel at Innamincka could be as high as $2.00 per litre.

The beginning and end of this trip are rather mundane, it means a two day drive to Broken Hill. Bx to Broken Hill can be done in one day, however it would take about 12 to 14 hours and the road is pretty boring and straight especially after leaving Nyngan.
The trip could include visits to various locations including Silverton, however you may want to take it easy and spend more time in the Flinders Ranges, as there are numerous sites to visit.

* Fast trip = 8 days minnimum

* To have a bit of fun and be more flexible = 14 days - include a free day or two in the Flinders Ranges

*Should be suitable for off-road campers the roughest part of the trip is Merty Merty to Cameron Corner, as this track is generally full of pot holes and bull dust holes,

* Weather, should be nice, if it doesn't rain and close the roads.
